It was my friend's youngest son's birthday and we had to cancel going over for a play and tea as Little had a cold and I still felt unwell having had a lingering cold for over a week.
I now am going to post this present to him. The slightly embarassing thing is I started this bunting for his third birthday present...um... he was four this year, the half made bunting has languished in my sewing box for a year. On saturday I fished it out and finished it. Turned out I only has to sew on the ribbon, so it was one of those times when I wondered "Why didn't I do this last year??" Especially as he has such a nice short name!
I wish I had a dollar for all my "languishing" projects! I like the bunting - keep meaning to give that a go too...
ReplyDeleteYes, there may be a few bunting posts out there, but this is FAB! Does Tom like it? As you've got it sussed, you could do a Minnado one? (Longer word!!!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely comments. Scruffybadger, yes, Tom does like it or at least his mum does! He is number four of four boys and lives in a house very full of toys and boys' stuff so I know my friend would not thank me for adding to the toy mountain and she would like a present that is wall-hangable. Luna, the bunting is really easy and I forgot to say a great stash-buster. I use bondaweb and a zig zag on the letters and the only thing to remember is to draw the letters backwards for the bonding process. Make sense? I can do more details if you want.
