I must go down to the sea

Longtime, regular readers (or blogging friends as I like to call yous) will say "w..w..h..at?"  and "how time flies" when I tell you that Little Rocket Girl turned two this week.  Much fun was had in celebration, especially if you consider spitting apple juice, ripping up paper and eating chocolate cake fun.  Looking at recent photos I found this fav from the Christmas holidays.

Some sewing is almost complete....almost ready for sharing

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
(John Masefield, Sea Fever)

  3. OH! I remember when she was born, can't believe two years has passed already. Happy Birthday to Rocket Girl xx I check blogger rarely now and never blog myself but great to see you're still posting. And that poem... I think I'm at the most distant point from the sea on our landmass but the extract you posted makes me want to get in the car and get some sea mist on my face pronto! Hope all is well. Clare xx
